Miki HollowayHow To Boil An EggThe class will be a collective dialogue which I will guide and facilitate. Everyone attending will be given an egg, which can be used to relate our experiences and escape theoretical abstractions.
The verb, to 'educate' is inherently hierarchical in its approach - like this, understanding may become a homogenous blanket. Through embodying un-learning, we will check our intrapersonal means of production. The class will be a critique of the goal-orientated accumulation of knowledge as well as a route for accessing creative production. As the means of learning produce their own ends, we don't have to try to make art, we only have to un-do the processes of prohibition and it becomes apparent. |
Drew HoadPrecognitionprecognition
noun 1. foreknowledge of an event, especially as a form of extrasensory perception. In Precognition and Art, Drew Forrest Hoad will present an hour-long lecture on the phenomena of precognition in art. Taking a well known event from the 21st century as a focus point, images, video and music will be analysed and a theory will be discussed. |
Tatiana BaskakovaSE14 Punchlines‘Robin May is a South London based poet and boxer.’
Join Tatiana Baskakova for a performative lecture exploring relation between real and fiction, and interrogating one's own vulnerability at the distance of art practice. This will hopefully open a discussion around matters of embodying fiction though day-to-day activity, economic co-operation and work, female masculinity, depression and localism. |
